Merry Chrismas

Merry Christmas everyone. This has been a very hard year on alot of my family, and next year will be a challange. Inspite of everything God has brought us thru and he will do it again . Maybe we should not only keep Christmas but thanksgiving in our hearts too not just one day a year but the whole year thru. I know that I am very thankful for my family and friends that are always there for me . I am thankful for my job, and my health. that last one could be better ( but could Be worse than it is too!) and that God loves us all.

Life

Life seems to have a lot of twists and turns, ups downs , highs and lows. There is one thing I do know and that is getting older is not for sissies. My family has been hit hard in many ways this year,but despite it all we are still here and things are not always as bad as they seem at first. Thank God he is always there in the good and the bad and that he does love me . I don't know were I would be with out him. Think like Job,besides that I just think of what it will be like in heaven and I can get through this hell I have gone through and it puts a smile in my heart.

It has been a very good day today.

I took Dad over to Albany to see the

Vietnam traveling memorial wall.

We found his cousins name on the wall, Dad is very proud of him and started to tell me about Havey Gene Adair . He was not very old he was 20years old. He went in the Army when he was 17. He died throwing himself on a grenade to save the other around him.

and another week has flown bye

well it has been another week . we started the new menu at work and it seem to go OK. still had some things left from the old one but I 'm weeding them out . I'll be picking some Cherry's tomorrow then some more work around here to get ready for the big clean up party coming up next month. hope things are well with everyone till next time take care .

Happy 4th of July Weekend everyone

Well it's another July 4th . That means Happy Anniversary Paul It 's been 4 years now my how time flys. This year we will be spending it with the Grand kids and BBQ, fireworks etc. It should be fun. of course there will be pics hope everyone has a good holiday and please be safe. getting ready

well as most of you know we are going to have a big (Spring Cleaning) at Mom & Dad's House in Aug. So Paul and I are starting to get ready for it so that it hopefully will not take as long as it could . anyway I know that the plan is to get together get a dumpster get rid of some stuff and move some stuff around etc. We will see how it goes. Another good weekend

Well it has been Another good weekend. My not so little Christopher turn 25 on Friday, So I went up to surprise him and I did just that. We had a BBQ and had a great time at Ricks.

Well it has been a good weekend here at the old homestead. we got a lot done in the yard. there is now a driveway the lawn got mowed and had pizza and cheese cake for Christopher's 25 birthday. So anyway a lot got done and everybody is still alive and kicking. hope every thing is well with all of you but since I need to get up and go to work early to take Paul to the truck I going to go to bed early . It's finally in

Today I came home to a new Ramp. So things should get easier to get mom in and out of the house. The Guys did a wonderful job on it. I will post pics later. haven't taken then yet but it is in.

Mom will have to stay off the leg for three months . Three months after that she will be able to have her knee replacement surgery. In other words she will be fine.
More UPDATES as we get more information. Monday is when the ramp goes in. that is all for now. Dianna

I think the doors is Done

I think may be after tree days the new doors is finally done now i hope that the ramp can get done as well it is hard not to get your afternoon nap in . get up go to work come home try to nap the get started a round here water the garden do laundry feed the parents finish planting the hopefully not dead Rhodie take out the trash etc etc etc. now i sound like I'm complaining I not just tired. I don't mind helping . just want some rest when i can. later all I think I have my chance now to do just that rest, maybe sleep?

Well things are fine a little worse for ware but to day we have a few pics for you all . As you will recall Mom and Dad had a really big pink Rhodie in the front by the porch Key word here was it is now a stump that is being moved some where else in the yard and there is a new door in the side of the porch so that it is wheel chair ready for mom and dad. here are a few pics of the day.

Hello again everyone ,
I my self have had a very trying day. It is time I should take my anti-depression medications. something I did not want to do but is necessary. anyway that is how it go Mom and Dad doing fine Dad is doing everything he can do for mom. It is really neat . Today I made dinner and put away dishes . Mom seems to do better every day but still resting a lot. not to much else she can do. Sudoku, read, watch TV with dad about it at this point. anyway slow day really They do enjoy the pics from every body's trips keeps then connected with you. that's about it for today maybe I'll sleep tonight That could also be part of my problem. Hope that everyone is enjoying the time with each other it is really great to hear the or should I say read the daily news. Take care all .

Well another day has come and gone and everything seems to be alright. Mom sees the orthopedic doctor on Thursday and the home health people were by today. They will be by at least once a week and occupational and physical therapy at least once a week. some people from church have been by with meals and words of encouragement also. Anyway things are find so far and I sure hope they stay that way.we are all good and should stay that way I hope.

today not much happened. there were a few visitors and that was about it . Karen brought over a few things that were very helpful to Mom a shower chair and bed side toilet. thank you Karen. can't get home health until Mom see another Doctor so he can prescribe it for her rehab. any way that is being worked on. there was one suggestion that is that each of us needs to file a grievance letter to the hospital about the the doctor and how he handled the coding and how he treated Mom while at the hospital,anyway please send Ideas if you have them it would be a big help. And please keep us all in your prayers . thank you Dianna

Another day

Hi all here is the latest update. Date line May 19,2009


well it has been an eventful day at home. Arrived home safe from the nursing home with Mom and got her into bed fine . everything is OK at this point Mom is in some pain and the home health people will be here tomorrow I think to assess the the situation. that is about all we can do at this point and will have to wait and see what they have to say about what it is we need to do. So if you don't know what is going on, here is a very brief run down. One week ago Monday my MOM fell down the front steps and broke her leg. then they sent her to the nursing home were she was to be for 2 weeks. but because of some loop holes in the health care system My parents ins. is not going to pay for any of it. So now we will need to take care of her here, and hope for the best.
So anyway I will update you all later as to how things go .

Home Again

Well it has been along week and it has only started. I made it back from Bridget's house the kids are doing well. I hope things will be well for them and the doctors can find out what is causing the miscarriage's. anyway Bridget's surgery went well and I m back to help take care of Dad. he has done OK hope mom is better I will see her on Wednesday I think, we had a nice party for Jade's 3rd Birthday. and every one is back home again I will post some pics of Jade's party later I going to sleep now work tomorrow Good night all.

My Week in Review

I am kinda slow at putting stuff up here.
This has been a very Challening week around here. I do know that we will get though it. and that God will not give us more than we can handle. But I will tell you this much, I'm still here . God has Provided this far and as far as I can see he will continue too. Let us count the blessings of the week. Dad was in the garden when Mom fell, But the neighbors were around to help1., Mom only broke her Leg2., she could has been alot worse.she hit her head on a rock so only 2 stitches 3. ,Bridget lost her Baby but will still be able God willing to have more4.,I have a wonderful Family that is there for each other when we really need it5., Mom is in a good place to get the rest and help she needs to recover., I will go up to help Bridget. and be back to helpDad before Shelley leaves,Gary and Bridget will Take care of Preston . And Rick Better have Fun at Amy's on vacation. Oh yes Shelley will Go to NY to Be with Both her Girls and help Carmen and Leo. Well

happy mothers day to all

what a Mothers Day! We also had Christmas
in May. It was nice to see Rick ,Preston, Chris , And Dillon. We all had a good time . We visited Paul at the truck stop ,and had a Mothers Day brunch on Saturday. I'm tired and have too work in the morning, and then the last BSF class.It will be another long day tomorrow.Enjoy the pics and hope everyone had a good Mothers Day.

As if you Don't know yet , I will be traveling Up to Washington State
This Mothers Day to spend With Bridget and her family. I think that this will be the 1st Mothers Day that I have spent with my Kids in oh say 8 yrs or so, so I am looking forward to it. But before I go I will be Spending a Pre-Mother Day with MY MOM AND SISTER at my sisters house on Thursday that should be nice also. Anyway Bridget is Traveling with

Her kids back to Washington tomorrow she is picking them up they have been with there father in North Carolina till Bridget and her Husband got settled in Yelm ,WA. I do hope that you all have a Great Mothers day I 'm sure I will.

just another day

Well shell you will be happy to know that everything is well on the home front. Sushi is out catching the wild life in the yard and everything is fine. I'm not letting sushi in the house till she drops the bird. so she might be out for the night we will see. hope you are having a good time in Portland. the pics look cool I like the murual its nice , looks like something you would draw.

Good news

Bridget got a call today and the kids are comming home sooner than expected.
They will be home by this wednesday. hooray Ill get to see my grandkids sooner than I thought.
Well need to get my work done so I can get some sleep and go to work tomarrow. more later.

Its another day

Morning all just got done making copys for my sister left them for mom to take them to her, well Im back from work was going to try and rest but you know how that goes anyway I have my usual end of the month meeting at work to night so I better not try and sleep now I might not get up in time . The big news for the day is HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR MARIE HOWLAND Taylor is 12 today I remember that day like yesterday because i was there, Just so you know Taylor Grandma loves you and hope its a good one.

Back to work

Well its that time up and out. Time for work. It has been a very nice weekend , with Bridget . Going to the airport was a lot easyer in her car than either mine or moms. Got to go now talk to you all later.

today is the day

Well it started out to be a day to sleep in, But as things go I forgot to turnoff the alarm on the phone that gets me up every morning for work. so good morning every one. well Mom and Dad will have a suprize when they get here because Bridget will be at the airport to greet them at the gate to pick them up. we will see how that goes should be fun. I think I stay back a ways and see what happens. By the way Amy Iam sorry your sad I know that you would see us all if you could but just think in a couple of weeks you will have Rick to spoil.
