Today I felt pretty good hope this will keep up . I think that I will work on things like Paper work filling so I don't over do and start hurting again anyway not much going on here. Well Merry Christmas everyone There is a lot to be thankful for this year . Misty is Married to a good guy as I understand, Derk Carlson. Doug Passed his test for School. Bridget gave us a new Little grand Child Lillian ( Lilly) , and Chris is in school too. I still work on campus and Paul is back to work Driving for Trade winds. I have have been busy with my hands crocheting a lot of different gifts for Christmas , when you have over ten grand kids you try and find something every one will like and won't break the bank. I hope that everyone is having a good holiday. This year Paul and I entered a grill off at the American Legion Hall in Albany.

For Best Burger in Albany. we competed with 1st Burger, American Legion, and VFW.

I was rudely awaken on Sunday morning by the cat to find that it was raining in the house not outside like it should be. By the way thank you cinder for waking me up, you are such a good cat. So now it is time to demo. dry out then reconstruction. Ruffly 45 days. Move stuff back in and unpack all over again . I guess it wasn't done right the 1st time so I will have to do it over again. In the mean time, I will reside at the La Quinta Inn in Albany. Have a great week everyone I will try and have a quite one.

Mom and Dad have there house back and Paul and I have are own space . Some time this year I should be getting a pass port so I can go see my sister in Germany we will see how that plays out. Until then I still have a lot to do I have had the kids from up north come down twice and visits for Paul's kids too,as well as trying to get the house in order some what and trying to set up the budget . Life is good but busy too.

The Hula Lesson

Well it has been a long but fun weekend just the same. Paul had his birthday on Friday, but he was in Texas, so we will do some thing when he gets back. Then was My Friend Michele's birthday

We had a surprise party for her on Sunday. Was she surprised. Monday and Tuesday we took off from work and her and I went up the coast to Astoria, saw the sights and eat are way through the coast. 1st stop Newport and lunch with Sharon. then up to Astoria. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express right under the Bridge to Washington. Had dinner and then bed. Wow its Tuesday I got to sleep in. Any way we went sight seeing . Flavel House built in 1885 was the 1st place we went, took a lot of pictures.then up the hill to the Astoria Column it has 164 steps to the top. the view from the hill was good enough for me I wasn't climbimg up the step.Stop number 3 the Columbia river Maritime Museum. Sure a lot going on there. Then off to stop #4, Lewis and Clark National and State Historical Park AKA Fort Clatsop in my op ion very cool. Headed South for the next stop, before we got there we had several little vista stop before You Guessed it Tillamook for some Ice Cream and the tour, then south again to Spirit Mountain for Dinner at the buffet Yummmmmmmmmm! It was a short ,long ,and fun time had by all who went Happy Birthday Michele Hope it was a good one for you. Went back to work today tired but in one piece.

Merry Christmas everyone. This has been a very hard year on alot of my family, and next year will be a challange. Inspite of everything God has brought us thru and he will do it again . Maybe we should not only keep Christmas but thanksgiving in our hearts too not just one day a year but the whole year thru. I know that I am very thankful for my family and friends that are always there for me . I am thankful for my job, and my health. that last one could be better ( but could Be worse than it is too!) and that God loves us all.

Life seems to have a lot of twists and turns, ups downs , highs and lows. There is one thing I do know and that is getting older is not for sissies. My family has been hit hard in many ways this year,but despite it all we are still here and things are not always as bad as they seem at first. Thank God he is always there in the good and the bad and that he does love me . I don't know were I would be with out him. Think like Job,besides that I just think of what it will be like in heaven and I can get through this hell I have gone through and it puts a smile in my heart.

It has been a very good day today.

I took Dad over to Albany to see the

Vietnam traveling memorial wall.

We found his cousins name on the wall, Dad is very proud of him and started to tell me about Havey Gene Adair . He was not very old he was 20years old. He went in the Army when he was 17. He died throwing himself on a grenade to save the other around him.

There were a lot of deaths in Vietnam

well it has been another week . we started the new menu at work and it seem to go OK. still had some things left from the old one but I 'm weeding them out . Mom will have to stay off the leg for three months . Three months after that she will be able to have her knee replacement surgery. In other words she will be fine.

I think may be after tree days the new doors is finally done now i hope that the ramp can get done as well it is hard not to get your afternoon nap in . get up go to work come home try to nap the get started a round here water the garden do laundry feed the parents finish planting the hopefully not dead Rhodie take out the trash etc etc etc. now i sound like I'm complaining I not just tired. I don't mind helping . just want some rest when i can. later all I think I have my chance now to do just that rest, maybe sleep?

As you will recall Mom and Dad had a really big pink Rhodie in the front by the porch Key word here was it is now a stump that is being moved some where else in the yard and there is a new door in the side of the porch so that it is wheel chair ready for mom and dad. here are a few pics of the day.

I my self have had a very trying day. It is time I should take my anti-depression medications. something I did not want to do but is necessary. anyway that is how it go Mom and Dad doing fine Dad is doing everything he can do for mom. It is really neat . Today I made dinner and put away dishes . Mom seems to do better every day but still resting a lot. not to much else she can do. Sudoku, read, watch TV with dad about it at this point. anyway slow day really They do enjoy the pics from every body's trips keeps then connected with you. that's about it for today maybe I'll sleep tonight That could also be part of my problem. Hope that everyone is enjoying the time with each other it is really great to hear the or should I say read the daily news. Take care all .

Well another day has come and gone and everything seems to be alright. Mom sees the orthopedic doctor on Thursday and the home health people were by today. They will be by at least once a week and occupational and physical therapy at least once a week. some people from church have been by with meals and words of encouragement also. Anyway things are find so far and I sure hope they stay that way.we are all good and should stay that way I hope.

today not much happened. there were a few visitors and that was about it . Karen brought over a few things that were very helpful to Mom a shower chair and bed side toilet. thank you Karen. can't get home health until Mom see another Doctor so he can prescribe it for her rehab. any way that is being worked on. there was one suggestion that is that each of us needs to file a grievance letter to the hospital about the the doctor and how he handled the coding and how he treated Mom while at the hospital,anyway please send Ideas if you have them it would be a big help. Hi all here is the latest update. Date line May 19,2009

well it has been an eventful day at home. Arrived home safe from the nursing home with Mom and got her into bed fine . everything is OK at this point Mom is in some pain and the home health people will be here tomorrow I think to assess the the situation. that is about all we can do at this point and will have to wait and see what they have to say about what it is we need to do. So if you don't know what is going on, here is a very brief run down. One week ago Monday my MOM fell down the front steps and broke her leg. then they sent her to the nursing home were she was to be for 2 weeks. but because of some loop holes in the health care system My parents ins. is not going to pay for any of it. So now we will need to take care of her here, and hope for the best.
So anyway I will update you all later as to how things go .

Well it has been along week and it has only started. I made it back from Bridget's house the kids are doing well. I hope things will be well for them and the doctors can find out what is causing the miscarriage's. anyway Bridget's surgery went well and I m back to help take care of Dad. he has done OK hope mom is better I will see her on Wednesday I think, we had a nice party for Jade's 3rd Birthday. and every one is back home again I will post some pics of Jade's party later I going to sleep now work tomorrow Good night all.

I am kinda slow at putting stuff up here.
This has been a very Challening week around here. I do know that we will get though it. and that God will not give us more than we can handle. But I will tell you this much, I'm still here . God has Provided this far and as far as I can see he will continue too. Let us count the blessings of the week. Dad was in the garden when Mom fell, But the neighbors were around to help1., Mom only broke her Leg2., she could has been alot worse.she hit her head on a rock so only 2 stitches 3. ,Bridget lost her Baby but will still be able God willing to have more4.,I have a wonderful Family that is there for each other when we really need it5., Mom is in a good place to get the rest and help she needs to recover., I will go up to help Bridget. and be back to helpDad before Shelley leaves,Gary and Bridget will Take care of Preston . And Rick Better have Fun at Amy's on vacation. Oh yes Shelley will Go to NY to Be with Both her Girls and help Carmen and Leo. Well

in May. It was nice to see Rick ,Preston, Chris , And Dillon. We all had a good time . We visited Paul at the truck stop ,and had a Mothers Day brunch on Saturday.
